This Privacy Policy tells you how Talkscape Limited (called we, us or our below) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. It applies to the information and data we collect from you (called you or your below) including when you use our website (www.talkscape.io)(Website) or access our products or services through our portal or otherwise (Services). By visiting our Website, using our Services or otherwise interacting with us, you agree to us processing your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We are committed to complying with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for our customers, and website users based in Australia, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What personal information do we collect?

“Personal information” is any information about an identifiable individual.

In order to use our Services you must contact us to be set up with an account. During this process, we may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Account information, such as user name and password, and billing details such as credit or debit card details

 

When you use our Services, we collect and store your survey questions and responses for you.

If you are invited to use our Services to complete a survey by a customer of ours, you may be asked to respond to a wide variety of questions, some of these questions may be more sensitive and personal. Your responses will be collected by voice recording (which may also be transcribed into text). The voice recordings may include identifiable information, such as your voice, and any content you choose to provide during your response. If you can’t be identified, then this Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to you.

It is our customer that determines how your personal information may be used or shared with third parties. You consent to your survey response data (including personal information) being collected, used and shared in accordance with the privacy policy of the person or entity that sent you the survey. All survey response data is owned by that customer. If you have questions or concerns about the use of your personal information that has been collected by a customer of ours, please contact that customer directly.

Our services are intended for subscription by persons over 16 years. If you’re under the age of 16, you may only register an account with us with the consent of a parent or guardian.

What personal information do we collect?

We collect your personal information directly from you, such as when you set up an account, contact us via email, phone, our Website or social media, post content or access or use our Services, or respond to our customer’s surveys.

We will retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it may be used, after which we will delete it from our systems.

If you are a customer, we generally do not delete the data in your account as long as your account is active – you are responsible for and control the time periods for which you retain this data.

How you can access and correct your personal information

You can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, and to correct any mistakes, by emailing info@talkscape.io. If there is a legal reason we can’t let you see the information, or if we don’t agree with your correction, we will give you our reasons and note your requested correction to the information.

Direct Marketing

We may contact you by telephone, regular mail, or electronically (email, SMS or via other electronic means) with promotional material and offers of products or services from us, our related companies, as well as offers from our business partners that we consider may be relevant and of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from receiving these messages at any time by emailing us at info@talkscape.io or using the opt-out function provided with the message.

How to make a privacy complaint

If you think we have not followed our privacy obligations, you can make a complaint by contacting us at info@talkscape.io.  You can also make a complaint to the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner by emailing enquiries@privacy.org.nz. If you are based in Australia, you can make a complaint to the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy at any time. We will publish the updated policy on the Website. If the changes are significant we will send you details of those changes by email.
